Just revisited restaurant Le Sommelier, opened in 90’es as the first serious winebar in Copenhagen. 2 Michelin * chef Francis Cardenau joined and made Le Sommelier a fantastic place to eat. Now it is kind of a classic, and the food is sharp and oh so french! Had lovely langoustine followed by superb flounder from Greenland, with sauce Matelot. Enjoyed 10 bone dry white wines before and with this meal. Finest was Les Clos from Drouhin, Schloss Gobelsburg Gaisberg and La Pierrele from La Chablisienne.
Visit Le Sommelier for the fine, classic and authentic french cuisine, the impressive wine list with mature vintages and the attentive waiters plus cosy interior. On busy nights the acoustic can be tough on your ears, though!
