Rasmus Kjær – Chef of the Year 2000 – started his career with sophisticated and foreign influences, but has now connected to his danish roots, in this fine eatery in Copenhagen.
The food is characterized by a hiqh quality level, as well regarding raw ingredients as craftsmanship. The combination of modern techniques and traditional cooking methods works great, and almost everything is produced inhouse.
At lunch you should choose the fine, modern smørrebrød (above) or the succulent and tender, crunchy and tender, sweet and sour flæskestegssandwich – pork sandwich (below).
At night go for the classic dishes like chicken (below)
And do have a beer, the assortment is well chosen.
The restaurant is contemporary and comfortable, situated on one of the citys finest addresses, Kongens Nytorv. This address seems to be constantly under attack from hostile bombing planes, but that is not the case. Rather it is the not too clever decision makers at the citys planning departments, who year after year after year permits various forces to dig the whole place up.
