The danish Bocuse dOr candidate Jeppe Foldager Andresen reaped glory by taking home the silver statuette, meaning he finished second in the competition after France, followed by Norway.
Jeppe Foldager is a young and quite unknown danish chef, who surprised everybody by winning the internal danish evaluation contest, where it was decided which candidate should go to Lyon.
At that point Jeppe worked at 1 Michelin star restaurant Søllerød Kro, but he will continue his career at the also relatively unknown, but brilliant, restaurant Alberto K in Copenhagen. Previously I have said, that Albert K deserves a Michelin star, but now they get a star chef instead. Maybe this can make the Michelin inspectors wake up at long last..
