Alberto K restaurant has for years been a top class place, equal to several Michelin starred restaurants in town. But now it is even better. The chef de cuisine is now Jeppe Foldager, who won the silver trophy in Bocuse d’or 2013, which makes him the worlds second best chef.
His assistant in the competition was Christoffer Brink, and this young man is also at his side in Alberto K, where I dined yesterday. Since I review one restaurant every week, it is not often I visit a top restaurant “just for fun”, and I had looked forward to the experience.
My expectations were not met. They were exceeded. The meal was simply flawless and so packed with delicious taste, that it is hard to believe. Service followed suit, and so does the interior, classic Arne Jacobsen style, elegant and cozy. On top of it all, you are on top of the Jacobsen designed builiding, hovering 20 stories ower low lying Copenhagen.
It’s a blast.
